JOANNE PEARSON, RMT.
Joanne is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC and is a current member of the CCHPBC and RMTBC. She has been a practicing registered massage therapist in British Columbia since 2014. Her preferred areas of practice include myo-fascial and deep tissue release for chronic pain and holding patterns, focusing on neck and shoulder tension release to ease headache, thoracic outlet syndrome and other associated symptoms, and therapeutic massage for mental health and stress reduction. Other than massage therapists, Joanne has worked alongside chiropractors, physiotherapists, naturopaths, doctors of Chinese medicine and more.
Depending on your needs, treatment sessions may include postural education and breath-work, myo-fascial, attachment and isolytic release, passive and active range of motion, passive stretching, and deeper tissue techniques along with relaxing swedish massage. Joanne believes blending specific and comprehensive techniques helps to increase balance, energy and relaxation. Her therapeutic treatments aim to decrease pain and tension, increase joint mobility, and diffuse old habits by re-introducing natural patterns of movement. No two bodies are the same, or respond to treatment the same way, so each and every treatment is tailored to the individual. Your main complaints will be mindfully addressed to ensure that you leave with a sense of relief. Massage therapy can encourage freedom from fatigue, restrictions and pain!
